Use this tab to find out about accessing health and care services in the Cwm Taf area, and how the PSB is working in this sector to achieve its objectives. The data tab will provide more information around the health and care of Cwm Taf.

Seasonal News and articles will be posted here during the year

Thriving Communities The PSB is working with Upper Rhondda Fach and Gurnos communities to tackle health inequalities in these areas and make accessing care and support easier for those in need of services. Find out more about what is happening in our Community Zones

Healthy People We want the people of Cwm Taf to live long and healthy lives, beginning with getting the best start in life and continuing right through to good health in older age. We are focusing our initial work on the first 1000 days (pregnancy to age 2) and the steps we can all take to positively impact on your health

Strong Economy We know that a large proportion of our workforce live in the area. We need to create a workforce where mental and physical health and well-being are not barriers to employment and employees feel supported to carry out their role.

Tackling Loneliness and Isolation Poor health can often lead to feelings of loneliness and isolation, and make it harder to access the services that would offer support, such as Dewis Cymru.

Libraries and GP Support Officers / social prescribers can offer great advice and signpost to services available locally to you, offering opportunities to meet new people and maybe learn new skills.
